ABOUT CLAD DATA

Clad Data is a cybersecurity advisory practice focused exclusively on Data Loss Prevention (DLP).

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Effective DLP must work in real environments—not just on paper. We believe data protection controls should align with how people actually work, balancing risk reduction with usability so security teams can operate confidently without creating friction across the organization.

Practical Data Protection

Technology is only part of the solution. Our philosophy is grounded in hands-on experience operating DLP programs, not selling tools. We remain vendor-neutral and focus on helping organizations make informed decisions, tune existing controls, and build sustainable programs that stand up to operational and compliance demands.

Vendor-Neutral, Practitioner-Led

A DLP program that overwhelms teams with alerts isn’t effective. We prioritize clarity, accuracy, and defensibility—designing policies and workflows that reduce false positives, improve visibility, and allow security teams to focus on the incidents that truly matter.

Signal Over Noise

Adin Adamian

I’m a cybersecurity professional with extensive hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating enterprise Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and email security programs in large, complex, and regulated environments.

Over the course of my career, I’ve led and supported DLP initiatives protecting sensitive data such as PII, FERPA, GLBA, PCI, and regulated research data across decentralized organizations with diverse user populations and technology stacks. My work has included defining data classification strategies, designing DLP policy frameworks, integrating DLP across email, endpoint, and cloud platforms, and tuning controls to reduce false positives while maintaining effective risk coverage.

I specialize in the operational side of data protection—bridging the gap between security controls, compliance requirements, and real business workflows. This includes working closely with security operations, IT, legal, and compliance teams to ensure DLP programs are sustainable, defensible, and usable in day-to-day environments.

I do not sell security tools or managed services; my focus is on helping organizations build DLP programs they can trust and operate long-term.
